The Dilemma

Vera and Nia grew up on the same street and have shared almost every milestone together. One day, while playing, Nia discovers a glitch that allows players to gain extra points unfairly. Excitedly, she shares this with Vera, suggesting they use it to climb the leaderboard. Vera, however, feels uneasy about exploiting the glitch. She knows that using it would be unfair to other players who are playing by the rules. Nia insists that everyone else is probably doing the same, and it’s just a game, after all. Vera is torn between maintaining fairness and loyalty to her friend. She worries that if she reports the glitch, it might upset Nia and affect their friendship, but ignoring it feels wrong.
