The Dilemma

Parvati and Lin grew up on the same street and have shared almost every milestone together. They both love science and often work on projects together. Recently, their science teacher announced a competition to create an innovative project, with the winner getting a chance to present at the regional science fair. Parvati is excited and immediately starts brainstorming ideas. However, Lin, who is usually enthusiastic, seems distracted.

A few days later, Parvati finds out that Lin's older brother has been pressuring Lin to join his group of friends, who often skip school and disrespect teachers. Lin confides in Parvati that she feels torn between wanting to fit in with her brother's friends and staying true to her passion for science. Parvati realizes that Lin is facing a tough choice.

As the competition deadline approaches, Lin decides to abandon their project to hang out with her brother's friends.
