The Dilemma

Alessia and Carlos, both 12, love playing in the park after school. Today, Alessia has only an hour before she must head home for dinner. Carlos suggests they try to play as many games as possible, rushing from one to another. Alessia enjoys the excitement but also notices she's not fully appreciating each game. She remembers a lesson from her philosophy class about cherishing time and experiences. As they play tag, she feels the rush of the wind and hears the laughter, realizing she might enjoy the moment more if she slows down. However, Carlos is eager to keep moving, wanting to fit in as much as they can. Alessia Something has to give.
