The Dilemma

Diego and Renata, both 12 years old, attend a middle school where a group of students often bullies others. Diego notices that Renata, usually cheerful, has become withdrawn and quiet. He learns that she's been targeted by the bullies. Renata confides in Diego, expressing her fear of speaking up because she doesn't want to make things worse. Diego feels a strong urge to help his friend but is unsure how. On one hand, he could report the bullying to a teacher, which might stop the harassment but could also make Renata feel exposed and embarrassed. On the other hand, Diego could support Renata by encouraging her to join a club where she might find new friends and feel more included, but this wouldn't directly address the bullying issue. Diego The next move is up to them.
