The Dilemma

Lucia and Rafael, both 12 years old, are working on a group science project about renewable energy. The project is important for their grades, and their teacher has emphasized originality and honesty. During a group meeting, Rafael suggests using a popular online source that many students have used in the past, even though the teacher specifically asked for unique research. Lucia feels uneasy about this idea because it seems like taking the easy way out and not following the teacher's instructions. Rafael argues that everyone else is doing it, and it would save them time, allowing them to focus on other subjects. Lucia, however, believes they should conduct their own research to truly understand the topic and present something original. She values honesty and the satisfaction of doing her own work.
