The Dilemma

Bjorn and Hana are working on a science project together. They have spent weeks collecting data and preparing their presentation. On the day of the presentation, their teacher, Mr. Lee, gives them feedback that their project lacks depth in analysis. Bjorn feels upset and thinks the criticism is unfair, while Hana sees it as an opportunity to improve. She suggests they work on it more after school. Bjorn is torn between feeling criticized and the chance to learn from the feedback. He knows he can choose how to react. Bjorn now faces a choice: (A) respectfully tell Mr. Lee that the criticism feels unfair given how hard they worked, or (B) accept the feedback without complaint and use it to make the project better.

Values in Tension

This dilemma explores the tension between two important values:

Your Options
